acpi-call-dkms software package provides Kernel module that enables you to call ACPI methods, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install acpi-call-dkms
acpi-call-dkms is installed in your system.
Make ensure the acpi-call-dkms package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep acpi-call-dkms *
You will get with acpi-call-dkms package name, version, architecture and description in a table
